Core Areas Of Life

1. RELIGION
2. EDUCATION / TRAINING
3. WORK
4. FAMILY
I consider these four areas of life to be core because they play indispensable roles in human development. They affect everybody and everyone has to take them seriously if they must succeed in life. Though all of them are very important, but you have to know which of them is more important at any stage in your life.
Religion is the only constant. Its believes and practices affects everyone's life irrespective of status and age. As for the other 3, some may be more important at different stages of life.  For example, which of these three do you think a child would be more preoccupied with compared to a family man? Education, of course. An adult will be more serious with his work in order to be able to discharge his financial and family obligations.

    RELIGION
Religion is the most important because it teaches us about God and his purposes, the future of humans, as well as moral standards for life now and in the future. Hence religion dictates what we do in all other areas of life. We would willingly do certain things and  vehemently resist others because of the religion we belong to.
But we can not practice religion in  isolation, devoid of the other three areas of life mentioned above. While religion prepares us for a future life, the other three areas are indispensable for a successful life in the present world order. However, we must guard against religious hypocrisy and fanaticism. They are the bend of society.
                   Education
Education is the main means of human resource development and capacity building. It provides the labour force needed in the work place, for the socioeconomic development of the nation, as it is the main means of producing professionals in the different fields of human endeavour. Your level of education and the certificate you obtained determines what sort of labour you are (whether skilled, semi-skilled or unskilled labour), hence your placement in work place and the type of remuneration you get. Workers are paid according to the level of training obtained. Those with higher certificate earn higher income while those with lower qualification earn lower. To enhance your chance of getting a job and a good placement, it is imperative that you to strive and qualify as a professional in at least one area of human endeavour as it is practically impossible today for one to get a job without requisite qualification for it. Also today, it is unlawful for you to practice in any profession without the requisite qualification. You would be prosecuted for quackery if you are caught doing that. Education remains the best means of human resource development and of getting good job opportunities as it empowers people to add greater value to themselves and to the society. However, it is best to back it up with an entrepreneurial or vocational skill in order not to stay idle while looking for a job after schooling. You must learn a skill while you are still in school, probably during holidays. The vocational skills should be used to complement education, but they are by no means substitutes to education. While vocational skill can bring you additional income, education develop your intellect, enhances your cognitive ability, helps you to reason logically and increase your capacity to handle complex matters.

          Work
All the effort we make at developing ourselves ( i.e. training and education) we obtain is largely to help us secure job for ourselves with which to earn income. The income, in turn help us to achieve our goals ( i.e. take care of our personal and family needs and considerable luxuries). So we have to take our work seriously, knowing that without our work we can not achieve anything in life. Without work, we will not have money to carter for our basic necessities, let alone luxuries. We will not have money to undertake any project. How dejected and  empty your life can be if you can not achieve any tangible thing. Perhaps you have beautiful ideas but you are held back by fund.
You can derive satisfaction from your work because through it you are contributing something to the society. You can also inspire others, you can mentor and groom others. Seeing someone you mentored rise to achieve a great feat with what you have imparted to him or at least serving as a foundation for him to rise is an experience that can relish for a long time.
          Family
The family is the most important institution that we work for. All the training, all the work we do is for the family. It is a haven of comfort and  safety and a pillar of support both in good times and in trying moments. Members share in each others joy and travails. They  assist one another in times of trouble. They assist one another to develop themselves and also do all they can to link themselves to opportunities. Members tolerate each others weaknesses and help them to overcome them. The family  provides a comfortable environment for children --- our tomorrow's leaders to grow. It is in the family that children receive the first set of training. That is where moral values and discipline are first inculcated in them--- directions that would shape their personalities as they grow up. It is within the family that reasonable parents lay the foundation for a great future for their children. They help them to acquire all the productive resources that will enable them provide service and add value to humanity; resources that will set them in the path of meaningful achievements instead of a life of perpetual struggle for survival. The overall value of the family can never be over emphasized. Hence, every effort put in to build a peaceful and enduring family is worth the while.
