Success Does Not Come By Chance

Success means to achieve a good result in your pursuit. Or achieving what you wanted to achieve. Success does not come by chance. It is something you work diligently to achieve. It has to do with goals. You cannot talk about success without a goal. So when we say that someone is successful, we are saying that he has succeeded in achieving a goal or goals. So if you want to be successful, you must define your goal. If you find yourself doing something, ask yourself why am i doing this, if you find yourself in a place, ask yourself why am i here? Your answer to these questions will reveal what your goal is. So you must know what you want to achieve. Then you start working towards it. Find out what resources you need to achieve it, which of the resources do you already have and which do you need  to acquire. How do you acquire them. Think of what challenges you would encounter and how you would possibly overcome them. Such appraisal will reveal what effort you need to put in to achieve a particular goal and also serve as a plan of action for  pursuing your goal. There is need also to identify things that support your goal, reach out for them and things that do not support your goal and avoid them. In other words, seek to know those things that contribute to your attainment of a particular goal and go for them. Then those that constitute obstacle to your goal, avoid  them. Before taking a step, ask yourself:  "will this step take me closer to my goal or farther away from it". The answer will help you to make a good decision, either to go on or to refrain.

      SOME IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS
Success means achieving what you want to achieve. Success requires:
1.       Training.  Training contributes a great deal to success. It is through training that people acquire skills and discipline which are indispensable to success. When people are trained they become more teachable, more ready to obey or follow instructions or commands. The more they are trained, the more they understand and the more they are likely to obey and cooperate.
2.       Discipline.  Discipline is a product of training. It helps you to do what you ought to do even if it is something difficult.
3.       Cooperation.  When two or more people work together cooperation is indispensable to achieving their aim. A popular adage say “together we stand, divided we fall”. When cooperation is lacking among people, they may fail to achieve even a small goal. But when people cooperate, even herculean tasks might be accomplished.
4.       Resources.  Resources also contribute a lot to success. Without (financial or material) resources, you may not be able to undergo training, carry out projects or discharge your normal routine duties. Expenses are inevitable during these activities. You must either carter for them or someone else must do so in your behalf. Even as a labour, you work on material or financial resources to create wealth or achieve other aims. There processes involved in carrying out your duties require expenses.
5.       Reliance on God.

1.       Your overall success in life depends on two aspects of life, namely, the physical and the spiritual. After you have done everything humanly possible in your endeavor (that is the physical), you rely on God to bless your effort and bring good opportunity your way. This is where the spiritual aspect comes into play. Therefore you must fear God and keep His commandments. In all you do, take notice of him.  This implies keeping his commandments, praying, praising and thanking Him. Note that whatever effort you make with whatever capital you possess might be in vain unless God grants you success. For example, you may expend ample effort in a contract you got, but without spiritual assistance, you might not be paid. God can cause the person who gave you the contract to change his mind even when he had made up his mind not to pay you or intended to delay your payment. That is the spiritual assistance that contributes to your success. It is something that is beyond your control. Hence, this biblical adage is apt: “Unless God builds a house, it is in vain that the builders work hard on it”.
6.       Courage.  You need courage to stand up for what is right even if those you look up to disappoint you. Always hope for the best when dealing with people, knowing that your success does not depend on what they do to you, but on God. If you rely on God, you will find that His solutions to your problems far exceed anything that you might have devised. However, you must be focused. You must have a goal and pursue it with commitment and passion. It takes courage to do the needful in order to unlock opportunities.
7.    Study, Research, And Experimentation.
1.       These three contribute greatly to increasing our knowledge and skills, inventing new things, innovating and improving upon what  we already know. They help to better our fortune in life.
