Production / Manufacturing

Production is the creation of useful commodities to satisfy wants or needs. Humans have numerous needs, but they can not satisfy their needs all by themselves. Hence different persons specialize in the production of different  goods to satisfy specific aspects of society's needs. For example, one person may focus on the production of cassava to serve society's needs for cassava and cassava products such as garri, starch, ethanol etc. Another person may focus on the production of live stock such as cattle, sheep, goat or chicken to satisfy society's needs for animal products such as meat, milk, egg etc. So if you can put a machinery in place to produce things for any aspect of society's needs, then you can get rewarded for your effort by getting income. Production can be in any area of human endeavour. It could be in the area of agriculture i.e. crop or livestock production as in the example above. Other areas include: engineering, health, housing, fashion,  entertainment, intellectual property etc. In fact, one can go into production or manufacturing of whole products, parts or accessories in any field of human endeavour. It is a large market, but requires skill and equipment. Production of intellectual property is a great means of generating income too. In fact, it is one of the main drivers of the global economy. Example of intellectual property are literary works like prose, poems, plays, novels etc; art works like paintings, sculpture etc; scientific researches and inventions such as telephone, television, computer hard and soft wares. Also audio and video recordings like music, movies, documentaries and photograghs; as well as innovations in any field of human endeavour. All these are products of intelligent minds, hence they are fittingly called intellectual property. Today, millions of people around the world are reaping fabulous returns from intellectual properties and you can be one of them. Just look around you and think deeply, there are many things within your reach that can be developed into an intellectual property. Can you write books? Can you make music, movie, paintings or drawings? Can you act or dance? Can you make photo, audio or video recordings of events ( e.g. performances like cultural displays, drama and other interesting things). Can you make reports or documentaries of interesting subjects or events? Can you introduce a new way of doing things or make an improvement over an existing one? If you can do any of these things, then you can create an intellectual property, and you can make real money with them. Everybody, young or old, rich or poor consumes entertainment. Therefore production of intellectual property in the entertainment industry is one of the most lucrative means of generating income. Granted, not everybody has flare for producing entertain.  So you can produce other forms of intellectual property. You can produce soft-wares and apps to provide solutions to specific problems if you are scientifically inclined. You can also write books to impart knowledge in any skill you have or provide information on anything you know. Sometimes life places you in a vantage position where you have an exclusive insight into certain things or situations, you can document such knowledge and experiences and publish them for the benefit of others, especially the up-coming generations. Once you can create something that attract other people's attention and admiration, you have a potential to create wealth because that admiration may turn to demand and that is an opportunity to make money.  So look around, what aspect of life can you produce something to satisfy society's need?  What gap have you noticed? Then do something to fill the gab and get rewarded for your effort. You don't need to look too far, there is something in your head that you can produce and sell to those who do not know. Don't be deterred by the fact that there are many such products in the market, the way you present you own may make it a preferable product by many. For some, seeing your product might be the first time of their seeing and accessing such a product. So you can still sell despite competition.
